Apparently I’ve sold out or will do. Or not. One of my single covers has been chosen to be sold as an NFT.
What this means is that you could buy the NFT of the artwork for my last single. Why would you want to? Not a clue.

Did you give permission or have anything to do with it? I’m still not up to speed on the purpose of those – or what you can do with them or what they’re for. Are they the new version of Pokemon cards, maybe?
I didn’t know it was a cover, but still it’s your performance. I’ve listened to it but I like other stuff you’ve done better, please take no offense. Who did it originally?
Hi Scoakt, it’s not a cover, it is my song.
No offence taken, BTW, it’s not a serious song, written on the fly as an exercise in quick writing but it has become one my favourites of recent ones.
The cover artwork is the NFT, sorry for the confusion!
Yes, my permission was given, I get 80% of the sale proceeds (if anyone buys it!) and then 10% each time it’s sold to someone else……
What is the point of these single/album covers as NFT’s? Not a clue, it was free to me to opt in and I don’t lose any rights to the song or indeed the original of the artwork and might make a bit of money.
I can see how established artists with a keen fanbase might be able to make money out of this but for the likes of me it seems unlikely.
No strings and might make some pocket change, why not? 🙂
I think I’m getting to the age where I’ll just let these kind of things pass me by, for the most part.
